The renowned theatre critic Barbara Heliodora of Brazilian national newspaper, O Globo, has described Billdog (the Brazilian version of Bane) as ‘exceptional’ and praised the original text as ‘A gem…’.
This caps a fine time for Billdog, which has enjoyed great reviews from top theatre critic Lionel Fischer ‘One of the most creative performances of the season… flawless’. It was also named in the top ten plays to see in Rio by national paper ‘VEJA’ and nationally renowned poet Ferreira Gullar described Billdog as ‘An amazing spectacle’. O Globo also named Billdog actor, Gustavo Rodrigues, as ‘Personality of the day’ alongside Brazilian soccer star Fred! The reviews continue to come thick and fast, expect Billdog’s run to be extended into next year. Billdog 2…? Coming soon!
